"What do you think the ratio of honey to butter should be?" The Dixie Lee Bakery was abuzz as Chef David Burke and cookbook author Carla Bushey of Oak Hill Farms considered a recipe combining their ingredients. The launch of the Dixie Lee Bakery and Oak Hill Farms collaboration was a joy-filled day where the chefs discussed innovative ideas and recipes like this both on the farm and in the bakery.
"Good ideas start with brainstorming. Great ideas start with coffee," reads the sign at the Oak Hill Farm coffee bar and the launch included both in good measure.
The new partnership is now in full bloom this Spring 2023. To start, Oak Hill Farms honey is now available at the Dixie Lee Bakery and select Dixie Lee bakery items are at the Oak Hill Farms Coffee Bar.
More collaborations are planned for the future as the respective chefs take home what they learned from their conversations certain to return to the table at their next meeting with something beautiful and delicious!
